Listening practice you can actually follow

This is the listening half of Recursio: conversations, short stories and slow, calm episodes, written and recorded for learners at around B1. They are not textbook dialogues — people interrupt each other, change their minds and use the phrases that come up when you order food, call a landlord or explain that your card was declined.

Every episode has the same three parts on the page: the video, the useful phrases it teaches, and the full transcript. Nothing is hidden behind the audio, so you can listen first and read after, or keep the transcript open while you listen.

A workable routine: listen once without reading and accept that you will miss things; listen again with the transcript; then pick three or four phrases you would actually say and practise those. The guides linked under each transcript explain the grammar behind what you heard.
